What to carry
- Your race bib and anything else the organisers hand out, pinned or packed the night before.
- Shoes and clothes you have already run in. Race morning is not the day to try new kit.
- A light layer for the wait before a pre-dawn start, if you feel the cold.
- Your phone with refillr.in/rcr saved, so the water-point list is one tap away.
- Anything your doctor has asked you to carry for your own health.
Getting to LuLu Mall Kottayam
Aim to reach LuLu Mall Kottayam before your category's reporting time: 3:00 AM for the full marathon, 4:00 AM for the half, 5:00 AM for the 10K and 6:30 AM for the fun run. Roads near the course may be busy or closed early on race morning, so leave extra time and follow the organisers' instructions on parking and drop-off.
Race-day checklist
- The evening before: drink steadily, lay out your kit and pin your bib.
- Set two alarms. The full marathon reports at 3:00 AM.
- Reach the venue before your reporting time.
- On the course: take a few sips at each water point rather than a lot at one, and don't skip the early points.
- After the finish: keep drinking over the next few hours, not just at the finish line.
General information, not medical advice; follow the organisers' and your doctor's guidance.
